KILL BILL - A TALE OF TRUE FANGIRL LOVE

KILL BILL (one movie) - the Quentin Tarantino film that started a lifelong relationship and love affair that has never wavered. Upon it’s release in 2003 and 2004, within a few years it also inspired me (and another obsessed friend) to take up Ninjitsu, while hoping to learn how to handle a Katana (now that was fun, even though I was utterly hopeless. Turns out I was more from the “attack them in the soft parts and run” school of self defence…).

To this day, no director has ever come as close as Tarantino in bringing together the beauty of 70’s Eastern and Western cinema in one cinematic experience, combining them in creating something entirely unique. It also pioneered female leads in a way nothing else really had before, and every moment (whether spectacular, violent and bathed in red, or moments carried out in hushed tones and whispered threats) are all perfect cinema. So it seemed fitting I should share my excitement over the many treasures featured in the now highly collectable Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 Uncut Japanese Boxsets

Warning: I make no effort to hide my genuine fangirl glee. If you are expecting one of those professional, composed YouTube unveiling’s - just walk away now.
