HIGH FIDELITY | NEIL DIAMOND TOP 5 (…AND AIR SAXOPHONE)

Been a while since one of these - partly because restrictions in Sydney saw venturing into dense populations rendered impossible, partly because I’ve had limited finances (read: been broke AF), but mostly because I was navigating a depressive episode. Trying to find love when you are a strange little girl (Tori Amos reference) like me is overwhelmingly difficult. Regardless, I don’t get depression often, if I do it’s entirely circumstantial. But I pulled through it enough to put this together with a genuine smile, and with the help of Neil Diamond, Elvis Costello, obscure cult classics, Mr Nilsson, and David Caruso I know everything will be okay…  and if everything isn’t, then I will be. I have to be. I also found a blu ray copy of Rolling Thunder, but that film deserves its own post.

(Also yes - I swear like a motherfucking sailor… I can’t help it. It’s how express enthusiasm! And I entertain my dog at traffic stops to the likes of Harry Nilsson’s greatest album, Elvis Costello, and general boomer hits. Don’t be judging me).
